City: Bluffton

Ok, so just about a year ago, my family and I moved here. I still haven\'t really made any friends. I just go out with all my old friends who live about 15 min away. About a month ago, our new neighbors moved in. They are japanese/chinese, or something like that. I\'ve never really talked to them, but my brothers and sister say that they never say hi. They just stare and when my mom shows up, they become really friendly. One night, when i was coming back home from a night out, i heard a loud knocking noise once i stepped out of my car. It was coming from next door. I stopped and looked over, and the whole house was completely black. No light to speak of, but there was that noise coming from it. I began to grab all my belongings as quickly as possible and ran inside. A few nights after, i came home, and i heard the same noise. Of course, i couldn\'t help, but get closer and look at their windows. I started to freak myself out, so i ran inside again. The next day, i told my brothers about it and they began to freak out!! Their room is right across from our neighbors bathroom, and they told me that every night when they are trying to sleep, the bathroom light turns on at exactly the same time. EVERY NIGHT! They even said that they have heard the knocking too! So, now whenever i get home..i just run inside as quickly as possible. We have no idea what goes on in that house, but its WAAYY creepy!

City: Chicago

I was home alone once listening to music. i heard some noises on the top floor of my house. I heard my dog yelping so I ran upstairs to find a man in my sister's room. I had never seen this man in my life and he called me by my name. I ran downstairs and took my kitchen knife and hid from him. He walked into the kitchen right after i had called the police and i threw the knife at him and he fell to the ground (it hit his shoulder) The police came and took him to jail and they said he had a knife(and gun) in his pockets.

City: a town, texas

i'm really scared cuz there's this one-armed dude that always hangs out by th railroad, but when the train passes, he's gone. i've spotted him right down the street and i'm really freaked out!

City: Kirkland/Seattle

Just about five years ago. I was home alone (and yes, my dad let me stay home alone, when i was 8). But anyways, we lived in a little suburban area about 30-50 miles away from Seattle, and nothing that big really goes down here, except for the drugs, so I was sitting there home alone and jst playing video games at around 12:00 or 12:30 AM and so I'm just concentrating and then all I hear is, BANG BANG!!!! Like a gunshot, and so I was freaked out. I (only being 8 years old and being not that smart) went next door an knocked on the door. But then, i hear the back door of thier house open, and I JUST TOOK OFF RUNNING TO MY HOUSE! I never told anybody about it, and I still don't really know what happened. And I'd just like to say that Disturbia is an awesome movie.

City: San Francisco

This story happened to one of my neighbors. It was late at night, and there were two girls in the house. One heard footsteps and saw a shadow. She asked, "Hello?". Then she heard her screen door close, and saw someone climb over her fence. The police came, and never found the guy. The scary thing is, they live near a buildings parking lot. So, all someone had to do was go into the parking lot and climb their fence.
