well it was morning and i was the only one awake and my house was old but now we renovated it anyway it was 6:00 in the morning and i was laying on my bed and all of a sudden i hear strange nosies like the computer monitor fall down my phone moving my floor making noises and my backdoor handle moving up and down i didnt dare move out of bed i was so treeified that i started to cry and put the blanket over my head and i nearly suffercated luckly my sister woke up and i told her to have a look for me but no one was there! but i no their was!

City: Sydney

Me and my sister were home alone one night and we were telling each other ghost stories. We started really freaking each other out. When we had calmed down - the power went off. We were screaming and everything and then we heard the neighbours scream. We though we might arm ourselves with kitchen knives and baseball bats and we made sure we had our backs against the walls. After about five minutes, we heard a knock at the door. The knocking kept going for a little while longer so we thouht it might be our parents. We opened the door and screamed again because our brother was there (he looks scary). He came in and said that his houses electricity had gone out too (he lives next door, very irritating). He stayed there, telling us that he had heard a scream from the neighbours. He stupidly went over there to ask if their power was off too so we had to follow. When we got there, their door was open. We slowly walked inside, almost wetting ourselves, and called out for their names. No one answered but the front door closed and we couldn't help screaming. The light flickered on and behind us was our neighbour, asleep with his eyes open on the couch. We thought he was dead and ran screaming to the door. We must have woken him up some time because when the door locked itself, he came to our rescue. He told us not to mention the incident to anyone so we think he knew something!

City: North York

I just recently moved to an apartment in North York, ON. I found it to be a very nice place and all, until one month later when someone kept knocking on my door. It wasn't just any knock, it was a knock/bang/slam all combined together. Anyhow, when it happened again, I opened the door and looked out in the hallway. There was noone, so I closed the door and locked it up, seconds later the same knock happens again. I looked through the door-hole (where u can see who it is), again nothing was there. I opened the door and saw someone staring at me by the staircase doors. I don't know why, but now I don't open the doors at all and never leave the apartment unless I'm with someone.

i was once in my house watching tv alone when all of a sudden i heard a noise outside. Being really brainless as usual, i went to go and check it out. when i opened my door just a crack, i saw a figure of a man holding a knife. I was so scared!!! After that day i never was alone in the house again.

City: Cincinnati

My next door neighbor is really creepy. Whenever I am leaving or mowing the yard, he just stands on his porch and stares at me. It gives me the chlls the way he just glares at me. Sometimes he is smoking a cig and staring at our house. One time when I was home all alone except for my three dogs and brother, I saw him digging a hole in his yard behind his house. It was so scary, I thoght he was probly burying a body or something, but he was just cleaning up after his dog. And one time he asked me a question when I was outside. I don't know what he asked to this very day becuz I ran away as fast as I could. And, sometimes when he cuts his grass, he leaves all of his clippings in the street! How weird is that?
